A new episode of the reality TV series stars a cast of characters living together in a house full of cameras and microphones recording their every waking move. Cast members are slowly voted off the show; the last surviving member receives a grand prize.
Tuesday
“Making of Hairspray
HBO at 9 p.m.
A look at the making of the 2007 musical Hairspray, adapted from the campy 1988 John Water’s film about the 1960s music scene. The musical stars John Travolta, Queen Latifah and Nikki Blonsky.
Paris, Je T’aime
Twenty filmmakers have 5 minutes each to portray a narrative about contemporary Paris. Eighteen 5-minute short films were made. They were fused together into one continuous film with one recurring character. Directors include Gus Van Sant, Wes Craven and the Coen Brothers
Golden Door
Driven by a mix of hopeful dreams and harsh realities, Salvatore (Vincenzo Amato) and Lucy (Charlotte Gainsbourg) are two immigrants seeking a new life in America. They meet and build a romance on their sea journey to America.
Waitress
Jenna (Keri Russell) is stuck in a lousy waitressing job and in a marriage with a controlling husband. She has a gift for making great pies. Her pies are inspired by her life circumstances. Once the awkward but charming OB-GYN, Dr. Pomatter (Nathan Fillion) moves into town and Jenna enters a pie making contest, her life becomes anew.
