Catching up on letters and calls with relatives can raise some old issues, but can also help you resolve them. Siblings can help work things out with parents, and vice versa – although the latter will be more challenging!

Financial problems are not as awful as they feel. If you try solving them now, you’ll at least make some headway. If you can be satisfied with modest gains, you can cultivate some confidence and improve your economy.

Your recent birthday may leave you feeling more old than celebratory. While aging gracefully goes against every tenet of our youth fixation, you should do well as a hot daddy or a wonderful wise eldress.

You are being overly aware of your shortcomings. Take an inventory of your achievements. If the list looks short, you’re probably giving yourself too little credit. Still, all this should help you to focus on what you want to accomplish in life and what you really can.

Stop beating yourself up. That’s what your friends are for. You may need an especially thick skin and a good sense of humor to survive their shows of affection. Or you could just tell them to knock it off!

Which of your friends would your mother – or favorite mother figure – like? Those are the ones to hang out with now. Listen to any advice they have about your work. You don’t have to agree or follow any of it. Just listen and think about it.

October 23 – November 21

Check the sources and authorities for whatever you believe in. Discovering flaws in your idols and teachers should only remind you of their humanity and encourage you to reach out in new directions yourself. Your teachers should admire that!

November 22 – December 20

You could learn some lessons from a wise old perv. The Marquis de Sade? Pauline Reage? Pat Califia? You don’t have to live up to the extremes of kink, but let them inspire your own inventive imagination.

December 21 – January 19

Your partner wants more than you’ve been offering, but you can rise to the occasion. Go ahead and ask what would really please your lover. Be ready to stretch your limits and work a little. But aren’t the best things the ones you work for?

January 20 – February 18

Being married doesn’t mean you get to stop taking care of yourself. We all need to make an effort to stay healthy. Joint efforts with your partner or a buddy will keep you on track and will offer helpful perspectives.

February 19 – March 19

Having some fun at work boosts morale and productivity. Your creative resources – usually distracting in their infinite vastness – are now well focused to bring fun to the job. If inspiration doesn’t come immediately, the kitchen will be a good place to start stirring it up.
