Perfection Auto Body is a full-service collision shop that specializes in working on classic cars and custom vehicles.

“We offer a full range of services, including restoration work, refinishing and custom repairs,” said Diane Ang, Perfection Auto Body manager.

Established in San Diego in 1987, the shop has 20 years of experience in the collision industry and works on all makes and models.

Ang said the shop also does classic custom fabrication and paintwork, and installs lowering kits.

“Volkswagens are our specialty,” she said, noting the shop has restored many VW Buses and Bugs to their original glory. “We can do ground-up restoration and complete paints, as well as rust repair and panel replacement.

All frame straightening and painting of vehicles is done on site, said Ang, adding that the shop welcomes insurance estimates.

A single mother of two, Ang began in the auto repair industry as an apprentice mechanic in 1981. “As a single mother of two boys, I was able to provide a better lifestyle for them doing non-traditional work,” said Ang, who worked as a mechanic for seven years before taking a position as an assistant manager in the auto body field.

Now at Perfection Auto Body, Ang has helped it become involved in the community by supporting local school athletic programs and contributing to local car clubs.
