Body and Soul Acupuncture, located at Chiropractique, has been offering some of the best care in acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapy for two and a half years, according to owner Antonio Whitely.

“Patients wait for their appointments while sitting in massage chairs in our peaceful candlelit waiting room, equipped with a flat screen television and fish tank,” Whitely said, noting that comfort begins from the moment the patient walks through the door.

Whitely specializes in musculoskeletal disorders using both acupuncture and micro current technology.

“Micro current is a very mild form of electrical stimulation, which gives amazing results,” he said. Whitely has also designed a treatment that reduces stress, balances the body’s energy and leaves the patient feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Whitely received his master’s degree in acupuncture from Samra University in 1999 and began his career in Los Angeles before moving to New York. A San Diego native, he said that he is happy to be back in his hometown, after working at pain rehabilitation facilities on the East Coast for four years.

Whitely said he always finds time to volunteer his services in every city he lives in, and he is delighted to have recently joined the team at Being Alive, offering acupuncture services to those living with HIV/AIDS.
