‘Cut Sleeve Boys’: One of the popular films that screened at this year’s FilmOut San Diego, Cut Sleeve Boys, will be shown again as an exclusive engagement at the Landmark Theaters’ Ken Cinema. Mel and Ash are two British-Chinese gay men at a crossroads. Mel, an aging scene queen with the ego of Norma Desmond, rejects the love of a provincial boy from the Welsh valleys in favor of quick-fix, Botox sex to fight his insecurities. Ash is tired of the jaded gay scene and forays into the wonderland of transsexuals in search of his dream man. With witty one-liners, an underground drag club and an all-male production of the Miss Pacific Rim Beauty Pageant, director Ray Yeung’s romantic comedy is a quirky, stir-fried journey of self-discovery. The Ken Cinema is located at 4061 Adams Ave. in Kensington. www.landmarktheaters.com
