More than 300 supporters gathered at Bourbon Street on Aug. 16 for the Mama’s Kitchen 12th Annual Wine Tasting “A Smashing Good Time.” Organizers said the fund-raising event raised $21,225 for the nonprofit organization, $3,000 more than last year’s event raised. Mama’s Kitchen delivers free, nutritious meals to hundreds of clients throughout San Diego County living with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease and kidney failure.
