Kettner Nights: Kettner Nights is a unique event celebrating the finest in art, urban living, home furnishings, accessories and the latest design ideas that San Diego has to offer. The event organizers invite the public to find inspiration and take a walk through the hottest district in San Diego. Kettner Nights, which takes place from 6-9 p.m., is located in The Art and Design District of San Diego (TADDSD), in Little Italy. The event happens six times a year. Participants can pick up a walking map, with listings of specials and events, at Simply Italian. Simply Italian is located at 1646 India St. in Little Italy. www.taddsd.com

Bridget Jones’s Diary: Cinema Under the Stars will show “Bridget Jones’s Diary,” the 2001 comedy that chronicles the romantic drama of the neurotic Bridget Jones, played by Renee Zellweger. The theater invites you to “spend an evening under the stars” at San Diego’s premiere outdoor movie theater venue. Audience members have several seating options, including zero-gravity lounge chairs, café table seating, balcony bar stools, or a mid-size chair with ottoman. Shows include a number of special features including discussions, light shows, and entertainment. This is a truly unique cinematic experience in the heart of Mission Hills. Admission is $12.50 per person, with screenings on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m.. Ray at Night – Six-Year Anniversary: The North Park community is becoming one of San Diego’s premier arts and culture districts. With a number of galleries, theaters, and fashion venues cropping up, it certainly is the place to be! San Diego’s longest running art walk, Ray at Night, takes place on the second Saturday of each month from 6-9 p.m. throughout the North Park Arts District, with the center of it all happening along Ray Street between University Avenue and North Park Way. A number of galleries, shops, performance spaces and restaurants stay open late to show off their works. Dom-Prov: San Diego Theater Sports presents its adult show, Dom-Prov, at Club Montage. This show is improv comedy with a safe word! Here’s how it works: Mistress Laura Jane puts the improvisers to the test, and if she likes what they do, she punishes them! The show starts at 8 p.m., with DJs Laura Jane and Trenton spinning a remix of ’70s and ’80s music until midnight. The event is open to 21 and older, and admission is $10. Heart featuring Ann & Nancy Wilson: The Wilson sisters hit the stage at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay for an evening of classic hits such as “Alone,” “Crazy On You,” “Dreamboat Annie,” “Dog And Butterfly” and other favorites that have made these Seattle sisters adored for nearly three decades. Humphrey’s is a 1,400-seat, outdoor theater located on the beautiful San Diego Bay, making it the perfect setting for a late summer concert. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are available for $95. Front Runners: Front Runners & Walkers San Diego is a running and walking club for lesbians, gay men, their families, and friends. The group provides a number of walking, running, and fitness activities, as well as occasional social events. The group meets every Monday and Wednesday in Balboa Park for early evening runs of three to six miles, and walks of two to three miles. Gentlemen’s Martini Night: The Gentlemen’s Martini Night is San Diego’s gathering for gay professionals and friends. There are no membership fees, cover charges, or hidden agendas. It is just an opportunity to gather at a different venue on a regular basis to socialize with San Diego’s finest men. Host Kenn Cross goes to great lengths to ensure that each venue is of the highest quality, so that each event is something worth remembering. Sue Palmer: San Diego’s Queen of Boogie-Woogie, Sue Palmer, returns to the Gaslamp Quarter. Palmer, along with her five-piece band, will amaze the crowd with her unique style and phenomenal left-hand. The well-known musician delights in creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the small clubs and cafes of 1932 Paris, Harlem, West Texas, and Hawaii. Nominated for Best Blues Band at the 2006 San Diego Music Awards, the Sue Palmer Quintet will appear at the legendary Croce’s Jazz Bar from 8 p.m. to midnight. wNorth Park Farmer’s Market: The Farmer’s Market has returned to North Park! The parking lot in the southwest corner of the North Park CVS Pharmacy is transformed into a farmer’s market every Thursday afternoon until the sun sets. More than 30 vendors are present each week selling produce, flowers, pastries, baked goods, services, and more. The North Park Farmer’s Market is hosted by North Park Main Street. 619-294-2501.
