I Put A Spell On You: San Diego’s favorite singer, songwriter and entertainer extraordinaire Laura Jane has teamed up with San Diego’s Queen of Boogie Woogie, Sue Palmer, for a special Halloween concert. “I Put A Spell On You” will be held at The Rubber Rose at 8 p.m. The concert will include wine, chocolate and legendary music by the two local entertainers. Matthew Shepard Foundation HONORS: The Matthew Shepard Foundation HONORS will hold an evening of special performances and presentations recognizing individuals and organizations for their longstanding leadership in replacing hate with understanding, compassion and acceptance. Nightmare On Normal Street: The Center hosts its annual Halloween celebration, “Nightmare on Normal Street,” from 7-10 p.m. The event will take place on Normal Street, between University Avenue and Blaine Street in Hillcrest. This year’s celebration will be for those 21 and older and will include a costume contest with more than $1,000 in prizes. Nicole Murray-Ramirez is the emcee for the parade of costumes. The Bud Light Beer Garden will return, DJ Talonya will spin dance tunes, and there will be a special performance by the Technomania Circus, and a photo booth by Him Pix.
