A show with balls: Yes, it’s true: the international smash hit Naked Boys Singing! makes its national tour debut in San Diego tonight, at the newly renovated Spreckels Theatre. A musical comedy revue, Naked Boys Singing! features an original score of 16 songs celebrating the splendors of male nudity. The Off-Broadway hit premiered in New York in 1999, and has been playing to near sell-out audiences every night since. You’d better get your tickets quickly, because the Boys are only in town until Oct. 12. Tickets can be charged by phone, at (619) 220-8497, or purchased at the Spreckels box office.
Show your balls and vote: Remember to vote today! Important initiatives are on the ballot: Proposition 53 is a public works initiative allocating money for state and local infrastructure projects, and Proposition 54 seeks to eliminate the gathering of racial data by state and local governments. The recall of Governor Gray Davis will also be decided today; yes, your vote counts.
