Fire Relief Fund-raiser: Bourbon Street is donating its space from 6-9 p.m. to host a fund-raiser for a local family affected by the recent San Diego wildfires. The fund-raiser will benefit the Huertas family who lost their Rancho Bernardo home to the Witch Creek Fire on Monday, Oct. 22. The benefit will feature a one-hour open bar event in the Stable Bar for a $10 donation. During the event, all Bourbon Street patrons will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for select items from companies such as Delta, Nike and more, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the fund-raising efforts. Bells & Brass: The Gay Men’s Chorus of San Diego will wrap up its successful fifteenth anniversary season with its annual holiday concerts. “Bells & Brass,” which features the 75-member chorus accompanied by a brass ensemble and hand bell choir, will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Sherwood Auditorium in the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Audience members are encouraged to arrive early for the Fourth Annual Holiday Wreath Silent Auction, which includes handmade wreaths donated by chorus members and local businesses. Tickets are $35 for the Saturday show, and $30 for Sunday. Discounts are available for seniors, students and military. Thunder From Down Under: Australia’s Thunder From Down Under, the internationally acclaimed male revue, is sizzling these days and nights and has become one of the hottest tickets in Las Vegas, the “Entertainment Capital of the World.” The sexy Australian imports crackle with high energy as they show off their buffed bodies to adoring fans who can’t seem to get enough of them. The latest production features charismatic characters including pirate “Jack Sparrow” from “Pirates of the Caribbean,” to a “Desperado” from the Wild West. Fantasy on Ice: Who says you can’t ice skate in San Diego? The outdoor ice skating rink at Horton Square is open through Jan. 6. Sycuan’s Fantasy on Ice, benefitting Rady Children’s Hospital, is open seven days a week (excluding Christmas and New Years Day), and offers sessions each day catering to families, teens and adults. Skate rentals are available and the rink offers ice-skating fun for the whole family! Adult admission is $12, and child’s admission is $10. A Very Babette Christmas: San Diego’s favorite diva, Babette Schwartz, is back with her annual Christmas show! A Very Babette Christmas will hit the stage at Martinis Above Fourth for just three nights. It wouldn’t be Christmas without Babette! 50 and Better Art Appreciation Group: The Center’s Senior Services invites the community to participate in a fun and relaxed art group.
