Jerry Moreau is an internationally trained and nationally certified massage therapist and holistic health practitioner who started his own practice called Fitness Together.

He studied in China, Thailand, Peru, South Africa and Italy, and earned a master’s degree in exercise science from the University of Rhode Island in 1995, prior to settling in San Diego.

Certified in both eastern and western modalities, Moreau has taught at Mueller College for more than eight years.

“As my journey continues, while maintaining my private practice, I am earning another master’s degree in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute,” he said. “My hope is that this education will help round out all my previous work, bring me to greater depths and allow me to bring more skills to each session.”

Fitness Together offers different methods and modalities, which gives him greater flexibility to offer clients not only Swedish, deep tissue and neuromuscular massage therapy techniques, but also Chinese medicine that includes acupressure, Tui na and Thai massage. Along with those special treatments, he also provides visionary craniosacral work and shamanic energy healing.

Additionally, Moreau has extended his healing touch to people by volunteering at many community organizations. He has extended his services to people living with HIV/AIDS through the Holistic AIDS Response Program at The Center for more than 8 years and also volunteers at San Diego Pride events.

Moreau is currently a member of the board of directors of the San Diego Epiphyllum Society, and, through the society, volunteers at the Wild Animal Park.

Moreau attributes much of his success as a holistic health practitioner to the Greater San Diego Business Association, of which he has been a member since 1995.

“I find it one of the best ways to do business in San Diego,” he said, noting that he enjoys living, playing and working in this community. “As GSDBA says — friends do business with friends. Let’s all work together to support, love and heal so that we may be our best.”
