Creative Futons & Furniture, Inc. has specialized in futons, furniture and home accessories since 1987. Owner Leslee Evans began her business at Kobey’s Swap Meet, then expanded to North Park, where she began offering high quality futons and bedroom furniture to a broad client base.

Futons have come a long way since then. Nowadays, there are elegant, solid wood futons to grace every room – from arts and crafts houses, to mission bungalows, and downtown loft apartments. The last few years have also seen a revolution in futon mattresses. Now, innerspring, Reflex and Memory Foam futons make fabulously comfortable sofas and beds.

Creative Futons & Furniture is known for affordable prices, great service and instant gratification. It’s one of the few stores in San Diego that offer a huge, in-stock selection of futons, beds, mattresses and futon covers. In most cases, you can take your purchases home that day, or arrange for fast delivery.

Leslee Evans has been active in the community since she arrived from Chicago in 1986. One of the original “Dykes on Bikes,” she contributes to many local fundraisers, charity events and auctions. The famous yellow truck and Creative Futons’ championship women’s softball team can be seen every year in the LGBT Pride parade.
