Silent Film Night at the Symphony: Audience members will enjoy the famous silent era version of the legend Robin Hood starring the ultimate 1920s action hero, Douglas Fairbanks. The San Diego Symphony, conducted by Gillian Anderson, will provide a live performance of the original soundtrack while the audience watches the movie!
This special Silent Film Night at the Symphony will take place at the Copley Symphony Hall on Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m.

F.U.B.A.R.: Steve Pena is bringing an all new monthly military night to Urban Mo’s! F.U.B.A.R. (F*#K’D Up Beyond All Recognition) is a night for those who serve, have served, or love someone in uniform. The inaugural event will include music by DJ Taj, hot military go-go boys, and $3, 32-ounce Bud Light drafts all night long. Miss Justice Paige will host the evening, and partygoers will also celebrate porn pup Brent Everett’s birthday. Mo’s will unveil its upgraded dance floor, light show, sound system and 15 HDTV’s! Women, Politics, and the Arts: The San Diego Democratic Club’s Women’s Caucus presents a special Maria Plasencia Reception for Women titled “Women, Politics, and the Arts.” This event is open to all women in the community, regardless of sexual orientation. Gangsters, Glamour & Glory: The San Diego Air & Space Museum is hosting an exciting period exhibit featuring historical items highlighting the 1930s. Featured are the GEE BEE racer airplane, personal belongings from Amelia Earhart, sports memorabilia, Hollywood artifacts and radio broadcasts. Beginning in March, the exhibit will also include the Bonnie & Clyde Ford – the car they drove into their ambush death in the 1930s. The San Diego Air & Space Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets range from $5.50-$14. Active duty military are free. Sue Palmer: San Diego’s Queen of Boogie Woogie will play a toe-stomping show at Patrick’s II in the Gaslamp Quarter. The Sue Palmer Trio featuring Steve Wilcox and Deejha Marie will play a set from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the venue, which features “real music, real people, and nothing but a party.” There is no cover charge. The San Diego LGBT Community Center will host a poetry mixer celebrating the life and work of Audre Lorde on Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 6-9 p.m. in The Center’s Latino Services. The evening will feature music from Rhythm and Method and an open mic for spoken word artists. The event is free. The Center is located at 3909 Centre St. in Hillcrest. TransEd: The LGBT Student Union of San Diego State University presents TransEd: Transgender Education/Edward. The evening will include the screening of a 45-minute documentary created by SDSU student Ed Sanfillipo, documenting his transition. The film will be followed by a Q&A session. Tickets for the film, which will be screened in the Casa Real Room in SDSU’s Aztec Center, are $20. The event is a fund-raiser and all proceeds will go toward surgical costs. Don’t Soil My Wine: Tango Wine Company will present Don’t Soil My Wine: Dirty Little Wine Secrets from 6:30-8 p.m. This unique wine tasting will feature resident geologist Michael O’ Hare who will discuss the make-up of the soils in the Napa and Sonoma regions. He will also explain how the soil effects wines as well as why they choose specific areas to grow. The event will be $15 and features 5 great Napa and Sonoma wines.
