“FloraStyle is not your ordinary florist,” said FloraStyle owner Kathleen Allbee. “We create each arrangement according to the clients taste and preference. Customizing beautiful flowers, with creative design is what sets us apart from your average florist,” Allbee said, noting FloraStyle does not use wire services, nor does it use recipes for its arrangements. “To create beautiful flower arrangements we believe that there should be no rules. Each design is an expression of our love of flowers.”

There is a European richness found in many of FloraStyle’s arrangements and Allbee strives to satisfy each customer’s floral needs for those occasions when only the best will do, she said.

Located in downtown San Diego, Allbee, who is a San Diego native, said she knows there isn’t a better place to be. “We are thrilled to be here amongst our favorite customers and are your downtown florist for your uptown taste,” said the floral artist, who left the corporate life behind after 25 years when she purchased FloraStyle.

“I needed a more artistic and creative environment to nurture my soul, and I found that with FloraStyle. There was a niche for one of a kind, unique and gorgeous floral arrangements in San Diego,” she said. Additionally Allbee enjoys giving back to the community – the principle FloraStyle was founded on.

“San Diego and my sense of community is an integral part of my character,” she said. Through the years FloraStyle has contributed to organizations, including: United Way, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Planned Parenthood, The San Diego LGBT Community Center and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
