‘3 Women in One Night’: The all-new comedy show 3 Women in One Night, starring San Diego’s favorite funny lady Laura Jane, will take place at The Rubber Rose from 7-9 p.m. Simply show up to the art gallery/performance space in comfortable laughing clothes, and enjoy the hilarious stand-up comedy of LJ, who will be joined by special guests Jeanice Parker and Jennifer Coburn. Club Pop Noir: Maystar presents San Diego’s only 18 and over club night, dance party and fashion show! Shuffle Up and Deal: The monthly Ladies Texas Hold’Em Fun(d)raiser event serves as a fun time for women to come together in a social environment while raising money for a good cause. This month’s event will benefit the Hillcrest History Guild. The group strives to raise at least $1,000 per month for the selected charities. Lessons begin at 6 p.m. with the tournament following at 7 p.m. Buy-in is $25, with first three positions winning prizes up to $700. Ladies Texas Hold’Em is held at the Joyce Beers Community Center, located at 1220 Cleveland Ave. in Hillcrest.

Club Asia: Club Asia – the gay Asian-themed dance club – returns to The Flame, with DJ Mike Bryant from The Factory, Buddha Lounge and Popstar in Los Angeles in the main room. The Red Room will be transformed into the Bangkok Lounge, with sexy go-go boys dancing on the bar. Club Asia comes to The Flame the fourth Saturday of every month. Doors open at 9 p.m. Cover is $10. Wigs for Kids: A fund-raising event for Wigs For Kids – a nonprofit organization, which provides custom-made hairpieces for children with hair loss from chemotherapy treatment and health-related reasons – will be held at Lips Restaurant, with a silent auction begining at 6 p.m. Performances by The Lips Girls (Kiki, Gina, Malva, Tootie, Gigi, and Cristina Monet), Babette Schwartz, Fifi, and Morgan will start at 7:30 p.m. The night will be filled with hors d’oeuvres, drinks and surprises. Little Italy ArtWalk: San Diego’s largest outdoor art festival, ArtWalk 2008, is now in its 24th year and will take place in Little Italy near downtown San Diego on both Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 6 p.m. This special event offers attendees the unique opportunity to visit with hundreds of artists, enjoy their work and learn what inspired them. ‘101 Years of Broadway’: Direct from New York, 101 Years of Broadway recreates the biggest moments from the most popular Broadway shows of the century at the California Center for the Arts Escondido at 4 p.m. Watch five dynamic performers light up the stage with songs from the hit musicals in which they starred. The show will feature brilliantly revived arrangements of Broadway classics from The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Jekyll and Hyde, as well as fantastic numbers from Broadways’ newest hits. ‘Anyone and Everyone’: Anyone and Everyone tells the stories of families from Utah to North Carolina and from Wyoming to New York, all connected by a common thread – a gay child. This poignant and often heartbreaking documentary by first-time local filmmaker Susan Polis Schutz reveals a family’s struggle and desire to accept a child’s sexual orientation. A free outdoor screening of Anyone and Everyone will be shown on the Scripps Lawn at San Diego State University at 7 p.m. The public is welcome.
