The Men’s Fashion Depot was started 30 years ago in July 1978. After having arrived from South Africa 18 months prior, owner Dennis Basson realized the need for a top men’s fashion clothing store specializing in price, value and selection.

Dennis has extensive experience in high fashion boutiques and off-price stores where he gained knowledge by his annual visits to London, Paris, Milan and Germany, which allowed him to purchase merchandise, and keep up with the newest fashion fads in the men’s clothing industry.

The Men’s Fashion Depot then opened and was immediately accepted by San Diego.

The Men’s Fashion Depot stocks more suits under one roof in Southern California than any other men’s clothing store and so can offer size ranges from 34 extra short to 60 portly long, proudly showing some of the worlds top designers such as Joseph Abboud, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Chaps, Austin Reed, Donald Trump, Alexander Julian, Jones of New York, Hart Schaffner Marks, and Michael Kors.

“We are very conscious of the detailed quality of our merchandise and stand behind all the merchandise we sell,” said Spence Devalcourt, the office manager at Men’s Fashion Depot. “We have knowledgeable sales associates and our customers are never under any pressure.”

Additionally, Devalcour said Men’s Fashion Depot gives back to the community in more ways than just offering unbeatable men’s fashion prices.

“Apart from the regular charities that we support, we also donate a large parcel of clothing accumulated each year to a deserving charity,” he said.
