What is currently your favorite restaurant?
Crest Café
Do you have a favorite dish from any San Diego restaurant?
Wahoo Fish Taco’s at South Beach — off of Newport in Ocean Beach
What is your favorite lunch spot?
City Deli
How often do you cook at home?
Once a week or so, but in a former life I cooked almost every night
Do you prefer cooking with others or do you banish all human life from your kitchen?
I love to have people over when I am cooking, because food is love for me. Everyone who is at the house has a job of some sort, from chopping, or peeling, or stirring what’s in the pot... but I am in charge of everything, especially presentation.
Name three items that are always in your refrigerator.
Beer, cranberry juice, and old take out
Name three people, living or dead who you would most like to invite for a dinner party.
I would invite Alice Waters, the executive chef and owner of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Barbara Fairchild, editor-in-chief of Bon Appetit magazine, and Monica Pope, owner and executive chef at Boulevard Bistrot in Houston.
