Take a long, critical look in the mirror. Focus on what you like and, very separately, think about social messages, ads and peer pressure. Do your best to keep those separate. What does it mean to you (not them) to be attractive?

April 20 – May 20

Can your hobbies be just for relaxation, or do you have to excel at what you do? One doesn’t rule out the other. The trick is to find a spot where creativity, relaxation and achievement (yes, in that order!) can all come together.

May 21 – June 20

To some degree, you enjoy being the edgy outsider, but you also want to belong. For now, stand on the inside looking in and get a clearer idea of where you really want to be.

June 21 – July 22

Your busy, judgmental brain is getting in the way of making your erotic dreams come true. It may be good to stop and think about what you want and what getting it would cost you personally and professionally.

July 23 – August 22

Disagreements with your partner can be part of the attraction. You may feel confused about how much difference is good. Focus on basic values, and turn any urge to criticize on yourself. Even you can stand to learn new ideas!

August 23 – September 22

Review safe sex practices, preferably in a new and different context. A look at other health issues can prove helpful. A treatment modality you haven’t tried before – acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, etc. – can offer helpful new perspectives.

September 23 – October 22

You usually play well with others, but you’re off your game, first-guessing yourself. Your partner’s efforts to help feel annoying. Don’t try to “be nice.” Say clearly what you need and what you don’t! New and different games could help.

October 23 – November 21

Politics can be too big a distraction from problems at home. Clean house, both literally and figuratively. Taking responsibility at home can bring people together. Trying to assign it in the larger world will more likely cause rifts.

November 22 – December 20

Your sense of humor is both a blessing and a curse. What you intend as good-natured jibes can easily cause offense. If you must razz authority, be careful to pick safe, distant targets.

December 21 – January 19

Efforts to get at the truth can easily be confused with trying to define and defend your tribe. Yes, some truths can be both ephemeral and eternal. Some of what you need to understand isn’t logical, nor should it be.

January 20 – February 18

There’s a time and place to think about sex, but letting go of thoughts and worries while you’re doing it can be difficult. Talking about your concerns with your partner may spoil the moment, but can make things more meaningful in the long run.

February 19 – March 19

When you get especially critical of others, step back and see what it is about you that needs examination and improvement. Others’ most conspicuous faults usually reflect your own. Try to see how your faults (and theirs!) can even prove helpful.
