NEWS FOR FOODIES
The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival is a five-day extravaganza of wine tastings, dinners and cooking classes centered around a luxurious “grand tasting” event, scheduled from noon to 4 p.m., Nov.15, at Embarcadero Marina Park North in Downtown San Diego.
The grand tasting will feature more than 70 restaurants and 160 wineries doling out copious samples. All of the participating chefs will compete for $50,000 in cash and prices, which means that “they’ll be putting their best foot forward rather than just turning out food for the masses,” says co-producer Michelle Metter.
