San Diego’s largest bake sale more important than ever
This year, Mama’s Kitchen hopes to sell 5,000 pies and raise $100,000 to fund thousands of free, hot nutritious meals for clients living with HIV/AIDS and other life threatening illnesses. One-hundred percent of the $20 purchase price goes back to Mama’s Kitchen; $15 of the purchase price is tax-deductible. Additionally, the organization has enhanced its online ordering system in the hope that more San Diegans will participate in this fall fundraising event. The last day to purchase a pie is Fri., Nov. 21. Pies are distributed on Wed., Nov. 26, the day before Thanksgiving.
