President and owner John Miller began his career in construction in 1983 as a laborer for a framing company in San Diego.

His 20 years of local employment experience includes rough carpentry, finish carpentry, decks/fencing/trellis, dry wall, plumbing, roofing, flooring and electrical work.

In 2002, Miller began working in the San Diego Metro classic home community. Miller’s passion for rejuvenating historic homes led him to pursue his General Contractor’s license in 2003.

Since 2003, Miller has assisted many homeowners and realtors in rejuvenating homes in the historic neighborhoods of San Diego. He has worked closely with realtors at Rancho Buena Vista Real Estate and worked on commercial projects such as Lulu’s Nail Boutique in South Park.

Miller’s work saving a historic Mission Hills home from demolition was documented on television news channels this year. HomeSmith, Inc. is overseeing the relocation of the home from Falcon Street in Mission Hills to Edgemont Street in South Park. The plan for this home is to renovate and restore it using green building practices and sustainable materials.
