‘Star-Spangled Girl’: Neil Simon Comedy and The Real Theater will perform The Star-Spangled Girl, Neil Simon’s comedy about love and politics in the 1960s. When an all-American girl moves in next door to two friends working on a radical political magazine, politics and emotions collide at the center of an unlikely love triangle. Chinese New Year open house: Celebrate the year of the Ox with Pacific College of Oriental Medicine from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The college is offering free stress reduction, acupuncture, and massage workshops on Tai Ji and Qi Gong. Stupid Cupid: Get in the Valentine’s Day Sprit with Mr. Right as the San Diego Men’s Chorus presents “Stupid Cupid Valentine Cabaret” at The San Diego LGBT Community Center at 8 p.m. The group’s third annual cabaret will feature individual and small group performances, as well as a fantastic finale with all of the chorus members. Musical selections include songs by John Legend, Rogers & Hart, and Olivia Newton-John, to name a few. Wigfest 2009: The San Diego Human Dignity Foundation will hold a fund-raiser for the Breast Cancer Alliance United to Support and Educate (BCAUSE) Fund at the Westin Horton Plaza Hotel from 8-11:30 p.m. Community members from throughout the San Diego area will join in the wig-wearing madness in a celebration of life and hair. The event will include cocktails, appetizers and desserts, along with a DJ spinning hits to dance the night away to support the cause. There will be a silent auction and many contests and prizes for the best wigs. Admission for the event is $70 at the door. Bellydance Superstars: The Bellydance Superstars presents The Art of Bellydance at the Balboa Theatre at 3 p.m. They have taken the ancient art of Bellydance to the stage as a theatrical dance extravaganza. ‘Love Song’: Watch John Kolvenbach’s offbeat comedy at The Rolando Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Love Song is a rhapsody to the power of love in all its forms. Beane is an exile from life – an oddball. His well-meaning sister, Joan, and brother-in-law, Harry, try and make time for him in their busy lives, but no one can get through. Following a burglary on his apartment, Joan is baffled to find her brother blissfully happy and tries to unravel the story behind Beane’s mysterious new love, Molly. ‘Swan Lake’: The Russian National Ballet Theatre will perform Swan Lake at the Balboa Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Listen to Tchaikovsky’s soaring score and see the beautiful costumes as they set the backdrop for this classic ballet where Odette, a beautiful princess, is turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse.
