Art flamenco dancing: Cafe Sevilla is offering a night of Spanish Cuisine and Flamenco Dancing for Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m. Flamenco and rumba guitarists are providing entertainment and the special five-course dinner menu starts at $69 per person. Eddie Griffin: Everyone needs to laugh on Valentine’s Day! Actor-comedian and all-around funny man, Eddie Griffin, will be on stage for two shows during the “Valentine’s Day Comedy Extravaganza” at the Balboa Theatre. The hour-long shows start at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Griffin is known for his acting roles in Undercover Brother, Deuce Bigalow, and My Baby’s Daddy. Ticket prices range from $47.50 to $57.50. Bulldog Rumble: The San Diego Wrestling Club will host the third annual Bulldog Rumble wrestling tournament with various events taking place throughout the weekend. Come out and meet and greet wrestlers from all over the country as they kick off their tournament weekend with a fund-raiser at Flicks on Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 p.m. Several raffles and a cash drawing will be held. Proceeds will be used to help cover tournament expenses. The main tournament event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14, starting at 1 p.m. in the main auditorium at The San Diego LGBT Community Center, located at 3909 Centre Street in Hillcrest. Spectators are welcome to view the wrestling tournament for a suggested $5 donation to the club. There will be a beach wrestling exhibition on Sunday, Feb. 15, at La Jolla Shores. Star-Spangled Girl: The Real Theater presents closing night of The Star-Spangled Girl, at The Washington Street Arts Space at 7:30 p.m. Written by Neil Simon, The Star-Spangled Girl, is a comedy about love and politics in the 1960s. When an all-American girl moves in next door to two friends working on a radical political magazine, politics and emotions collide at the center of an unlikely love triangle. Don Quixote’: Can an eccentric, elderly knight capture the heart of the woman he adores? Jules Massenet’s rarely performed French masterpiece Don Quixote will take stage at The Civic Theatre at 7p.m. This poignant opera based on the novel by Miguel Cervantes brings to life one of the noblest gentlemen in all literature – Don Quixote. Romantic and idealistic, Quixote sees Dulcinea not as the village tart, but as the ideal of womanhood. With loyal Sancho Panza at his side, the soulful “knight errant” sets off on a quest – fighting windmills he believes are giants, escaping bandits, and risking death – to win the love of his idolized Dulcinea. The refugee tries to leave his past behind him and forge a new life in a new land, mystified by American ideas of art, ritual and family. As the two women get to know the young man their romantic notions about Africa and their own experience of loss are transformed as they face the truly epic tragedy of the Lost Boys of Sudan. Asian Film Screenings: The San Diego Asian Film Foundation will present the first quarterly film screening of the year with A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.
