Dr. Robert Thomas is president and medical director of the San Diego Eye Institute and Choices Anti-aging Center at San Diego Eye Institute. He has been providing ophthalmology and eye surgery in Hillcrest for more than 30 years. Thomas is among the first ophthalmologists in the country to be certified in cataract surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgery and is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Continuing as a leading innovator in his field, Thomas has recently added unique skin rejuvenation services to his practice in Hillcrest. Searching for methods safer and less invasive than laser, he now reduces skin wrinkles, colored spots and small blood vessels utilizing Highly Intensified Fluorescent Light. Light Emitting Diodes (LED) and Infra-red treatments are utilized to further reduce skin wrinkles and regenerate collagen.
