Partners in both business and life, Bill Freyer and Tim Melodick, have been together for 10 years. Three years ago, they opened Pleasures & Treasures, an adult boutique catering to both men and women, gay, straight and everything in between.

Located across the street from Albertson’s, near the intersection of University Avenue and Mississippi Street, the boutique includes four rooms filled with unique adult specialty items.

“We try to have it all for you,” Freyer said, noting the boutique offers lubes, fetish wear, whips, cock rings, restraints, ticklers, fun T-shirts, jocks, underwear and slings. “The friendly and knowledgeable staff is an added benefit,” he said.

“Unlike other adult boutiques, Pleasures & Treasures staff can describe what a product is and how to use it,” Melodick added.

The boutique offers monthly specials, with 10-20 percent off selected items. Those who visit the Pleasures & Treasures Web site and signup for the e-mail list will receive special e-mail ad discounts.

The couple said they have enjoyed being a part of the GLBT community. Freyer has been actively involved in the leather community, whereas Melodick enjoys another career, as well as being co-owner of the shop. “I pull in double duty and always with a smile,” Melodick said.
