‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’: The San Diego Chamber Orchestra and 120-member strong San Diego Master Chorale team up for an extraordinary treat of Mendelssohn’s Midsummer’s Night Dream at St. Paul’s Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. Mendelssohn composed the music as a soundtrack to Shakespeare’s play of the same name. Pieces will include “Overture to Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave),” “Violin Concerto,” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. St. Paul’s Cathedral is located at 2728 Sixth Ave. near Balboa Park. Pisces Party: Calling all Pisces or those who wish they were! A Pisces Birthday celebration will be held at The Center from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Every one is invited to take part in the fun.
