[T]he leadership of the Gay & Lesbian community, whoever they claim to be, missed the boat again. They were a day late and a dollar short…
Dear Editor:
Today’s decision reminded me of the failure of the Gay & Lesbian leadership to lead. Had they taken off their gloves and organized a real campaign to promote equality yesterday’s Memorial Day Picnic would not have been held under a cloud.
Instead, the leadership of the Gay & Lesbian community, whoever they claim to be, missed the boat again. They were a day late and a dollar short by not scheduling the protest rally on Memorial Day, the day before the decision.
Not to take away the importance of Memorial Day in honoring our servicemen and women, instead the reminder should have been about how those service members, including the gay and lesbian service men and women, work towards the commitment and dedication to protect the equal rights of all Americans.
In California those inalianible rights.....spelled out in our Constitution...still exclude some citizens.

One out of two citizens of this state have turned their backs on us so why take the chance of giving them our hard earned cash!
Dear Editor:
To my fellow gay San Diegans. It’s time to show our disdain for this State in a quiet manner. Everybody should grab a copy of the GSDBA directory and a copy of the Gay yellow pages and only do business with our brothers and sisters listed in those publications and others as “Gay Friendly or Gay Owned and Operated”. One out of two citizens of this state have turned their backs on us so why take the chance of giving them our hard earned cash! Stand up and show them we can affect all of thier businesses by supporting our OWN community. My partner and I have been doing this since Prop. 8 passed. We have all we need in our OWN community. Lets support THEM!!! John B.
Thanks so much to the editor.

Here’s my idea for a proposition for 2010– we declare Mormonism a fabricated and false religion and we demand it be excluded from California. Germany did it to Tom Cruise and Scientology a couple of years ago.
Dear Editor:
It’s all well and good to stomp our feet and march up and down our Hillcrest streets but I am not satisfied with that. There are more than enough of us at San Diego Pride to get the signatures for our own proposition.
Here’s my idea for a proposition for 2010– we declare Mormonism a fabricated and false religion and we demand it be excluded from California. Germany did it to Tom Cruise and Scientology a couple of years ago.
They said it was a cult.
Boy if the Mormon church isn’t a cult then what is? Even the briefest overview of Mormonism reveals blatant lies a trickery and even revolt against the US Government. Not to mention wholesale slaughter of innocents, incest and pedophilia. It is a blight on our state.
Anyone interested in this idea?
