Freedom Jubilee created in response to Prop. 8 decision
The Empowering Spirits Foundation (ESF) announced this week that it will hold its first nationwide service-oriented event – Freedom Jubilee – to promote GLBT equality on Oct. 11, 2009. Created in response to the California Supreme Court decision, the event will coincide with National Coming Out Day. ESF is a grassroots based civil rights organization working to achieve GLBT equality. The organization’s members participate in service-oriented activities in communities typically opposed to equal rights.
Additionally, ESF sponsors legislation, lobbies legislators, develops community awareness, collaborates with other coalitions, and empowers individuals and organizations to engage in the political process for equality.
ESF will release further details regarding the events in the upcoming weeks.
