Part camp, part heart and soul, the “internationally renowned” Needemann Brothers, aka Jorge Luis Abreu and Anthony Bollotta, spring into action once again on July 11 at Schroeder’s Cabaret, the place the Needemann’s made their cabaret debut in 2005.

From the moment they hit the stage to the heartfelt wish with which they end their show… a charming tune entitled “Green Light,” composed by The Needemann Brothers musical director and partner, Rayme Sciaroni, they snap and sizzle!Called, what else but The Needemann Brothers, the audience is treated to nonstop antics, familiar songs presented in, shall we say, not-so-familiar ways, and a tall order of gaiety!

It is not unclear that the Needemann Brothers are indeed gay, if not to themselves, then at least to the audience. But while there is enough gay innuendo to fill Cher’s wardrobe closet, they somehow skip around the issue throughout their musical comedy cabaret with devilish delight, never actually pointing themselves out.

Still, as anyone who has seen the show will tell you, they don’t have to. Even before they take the audience back to their childhood with a medley of ’60s, ’70s and ’80s hits that includes “Enough is Enough,” “Delta Dawn,” and “Stop In The Name of Love,” sung in their “bathtub,” wearing flower-print bathing attire and bodacious shower caps, it is unquestionable that both Needemanns “need-a-man!”

The Needemann Brothers have performed in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tampa, Las Vegas and San Francisco, where they’ve appeared on the main stage at the Castro Street Fair.
