“I have no compassion for any adult who sero-convered after 1990 do to their CHOICE to have unprotected sex.”
Sexually transmitted HIV is preventable! All the so called “education programs” have not worked and have created their own industery. Slap a god damn rubber on it—-That is all there is to it!!! I have no compassion for any adult who sero-convered after 1990 do to their CHOICE to have unprotected sex.
“There are SO many more factors to consider.”
Thanks, Kevin, for commenting so bluntly - your “insightful” comment proves how far we really have to go in the education game. People think that “slapping” on a condom is the main thing to know about HIV education. There are SO many more factors to consider. I can only wish you the compassion you won’t wish on others, and wish you well.
“While I do have compassion and empathy for poz individuals, there are consequences to unsafe practices.”
While I agree with you, Eric, that Kevin was a bit blunt he does have a valid point. Sexually transmitted HIV is COMPLETELY preventable and education has been ongoing for years now. I’m sure that everyone in the health care and other related industries/organizations are becoming frustrated over the lack of progress. It’s almost like the “Just Say No” drug campaign and other anti-drug campaigns that have not worked. If after all of these years of HIV education some people still don’t play safe, what can you do? They can only be hit over the head so many times with education & warnings. Everyone knows how it is caused so I’m not sure what other factors there are to consider.
While I do have compassion and empathy for poz individuals, there are consequences to unsafe practices.
