San Diego Dyke March and Festival: The San Diego Dyke March and Festival (SDDMF) will begin at the fountain in Balboa Park at 11 a.m. SDDMF is a community-driven event that empowers, inspires, promotes and celebrates women’s and trans communities. The event begins with a rally at 11 a.m. Attendees will march to North Park at 11:30 a.m. Shuttles will be available for those who cannot walk the distance. The march will end at the festival site at 8Teen Art & Cultural Center, on the corner of Ohio St. and University Avenue. The festival will run till 6 p.m. There is no cost to attend. Politics Prejudice Pride: The San Diego Men’s Chorus will present Politics Prejudice Pride at Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall at 2 p.m. The show is a theatre piece to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The event will feature an original script and music selected from the popular music and social justice causes of the past 40 years. Featuring “Queer As Folk’s” Peter Paige and “American Idol” finalist/star of Rent on Broadway, Frenchie Davis, as well as regionally and nationally known celebrity actors and dancers from the San Diego Dance Theature and Malashock Dance. Rainbow Pride Mixer: The Greater San Diego Business Association (GSDBA) is hosting Rainbow Pride Mixer at Bourbon Street at 5:30 p.m. The mixer is an official San Diego Pride event. Chuck Ferrante will host the event, which includes live entertainment, music and raffle prizes. Lei Lounge will cater with food selections, drinks and dessert. All Community Pride Breakfast: The San Diego LGBT Community Center will host the third annual All Community Pride Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The breakfast, a San Diego Pride kickoff event, includes an omelet buffet from Abbey Catering with all the “fixins” and a champagne toast. Boot Camp: San Diego Pride Parties hosts Boot Camp at 4th & B from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Boot Camp, the official circuit party of San Diego Pride, is a military-themed party to honor fellow GLBT servicemembers. DJ Twisted Dee and DJ Paulo will bring heavy and deep beats to the dance floor. The club will be professionally decorated. Camo attire is encouraged. East Village Charitable Dinner: The East Village Charitable Dinner will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Downtown at 6 p.m. The event is an all-inclusive dinner with celebrities, politicians and local, influential women in business. Hosted by Monique from the Jack FM morning show, the event offers opportunities to network with some of San Diego’s finest women. 15 percent of ticket proceeds will go to San Diego Pride. Central Park Night: Central Park Night, a women’s Pride event, will take place at The Hard Rock Hotel in Downtown at 9 p.m. The hotel will transform it’s ballroom into downtown Manhattan’s Central Park. West Coast DJs will spin the latest hip-hop and electro mixes. Finnius 3 will perform with a celebrity fashion show at midnight. 15 percent of ticket proceeds will go to San Diego Pride. Launch: Launch, an outdoor house party at the home of Kent Swedell and Mark Cujak, starts at 6 p.m. Launch includes an open bar and complimentary food provided by local vendors, plus a silent auction. The event, an official San Diego Pride party, is limited to 500 people. Organizers donate 100 percent of ticket proceeds to the San Diego GLBT community. Run & Stride with Pride 5K Run & Walk: Front Runners and Walkers San Diego is sponsoring the 28th annual Run & Stride with Pride 5K Run & Walk at University Avenue and Centre Street at 10 a.m. The run will start at 10 a.m. sharp, and the walk will start immediately after the run begins. Registration costs $25. The top three male and female finishers of each age division will receive an award. The event will be sure to stimulate your senses with cirque style aerial performances and special graphic projections with a laser system and huge LED screen.
