Lesbian Speed Dating: The San Diego LGBT Community Center’s Women’s Resource Center hosts Lesbian Speed Dating at 7 p.m. Speed-dating is a type of round-robin, with each participant taking part in a number of eight-minute dates to see if an immediate spark is present. Participants are given a score card to mark after each date. If both parties write that they would like to see one another again, organizers will share the contact info of both interested parties. If a match is not made, no contact information is given, so nobody feels the pressure to reject anyone and no feelings get hurt. Speed-dating is a great way to meet new women without the pressure of sitting through an entire evening of first-date small talk. The event costs $20 and includes a free cocktail or non-alcoholic beverage. This is a 21-and-up event. Pre-registration is mandatory to participate. To register or for more information, call 619-692-2077, ext. 212 or e-mail aschwartz@thecentersd.org.
