Shopping & F***ing: Triad Productions presents Shopping & F***ing at the Compass Theatre at 8 p.m. Mark Ravenhill’s darkly hilarious but shockingly real play exposes the sordid lives of Mark (Patrick Kelly, Lulu (Katie Haroft) and Robbie (Julio Jacobo), three young derelicts drifting and stealing their way through life and addicted to substances and each other. Mark, unable to care for his friends or himself, attempts to reduce his relationships to nothing more than a series of transactions by leaving the house and shacking up with a call boy named Gary (Kevin Morrison) who’s sitting on a mountain of troubled secrets. And after Lulu “auditions” for a twisted television producer (John Whitley), who gives her and Robbie a bag full of ecstasy to peddle, everyone’s lives continue to spiral further towards a point-of-no return that will make you want to leave, but unable to move. The play runs ’til Sept. 13. Tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for students with ID. The Compass Theatre is located at 3704 6th Ave. in Hillcrest.
