Street Scene: More than 40 bands will perform at Street Scene in the East Village from 4 p.m. to midnight. Black Eyed Peas, Modest Mouse, Cake, Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band, Band of Horses, Girl Talk and Devendra Banhart will perform on Friday. Suffrage Parade and Ball: The San Diego Women’s History Museum and Educational Center hosts the second annual Suffrage Parade and Ball. The parade starts at 4 p.m. at the 6th Avenue side of the Laurel Street Bridge, while the ball will start at 6 p.m. at the Balboa Park Club’s ballroom. March across the bridge carrying signs, flags and banners, to the Balboa Park Club for a lemonade refreshment prior to the Suffrage Ball. The ball includes music by Sue Palmer Orchestra, a custom contest, dance marathon and a buffet dinner. The parade is free, while the ball starts at $25. Yoga 4 the Cure: Susan G. Komen for the Cure San Diego will host Yoga 4 the Cure at Mission Bay Park at 8:30 a.m. Women of all ages and fitness levels will join together in peaceful meditation and yoga in an effort to generate funds for the cure for breast cancer. The suggested donation is $20, and all proceeds go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure San Diego, an organization whose mission is to end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find a cure. The workshop will take place on the lawn next to the Visitor’s Center at 2688 East Mission Bay Dr. in Mission Bay Park.

Oceanic art: The San Diego Museum of Art is showing a new exhibit called Oceanic Art: A Celebration of Form from noon to 5 p.m. The exhibit features 97 three-dimensional works, including sculptures, traditional adornments, weapons and objects used in everyday life from Melanesia, Polynesia, Micronesia and Taiwan. ‘Dial M For Murder’: Cinema Under the Stars will screen Dial M For Murder at 8:30 p.m. In this 1954 Alfred Hitchcock film, ex-tennis pro Tony Wendice decides to murder his wife for her money and because she had an affair the year before. Wendice blackmails an old college associate to strangle his wife. But when things go wrong, Wendice sees a way to turn the events to his advantage.
