Randy Begin, owner of Mission Hills Automotive (MHA), purchased the auto repair shop last November.

“I purchased the business in 2008 with the intention of bringing Mission Hills Automotive into the 21st century,” said Begin, whose personal motto is: “If I can’t fix it, it’s not broken!”

In business for almost 30 years, MHA offers a complete line of services, everything from a simple oil change to computer reprogramming. And MHA technicians are Automotive Service Excellence certified, meaning that they are skilled in eight different areas of automotive repair. The repair shop has recently added smog testing, certification and repairs to its list of services. “Anything short of bodywork can be handled on your passenger car or light truck in any make and model,” Begin said. “We strive to be your one-stop auto repair facility.”

Begin has worked in automotive repair for the last 30 years. He has worked at a number of Mission Hills auto repair shops, including the Shell Station on the corner of 4th and Washington from 1983 to 1987 and MHA in the early ’90s. Now back at MHA, Begin says he’s now “returned home.” “I have always enjoyed working in this community, because I feel that I am part of this neighborhood,” Begin said.

Begin has been married to the “same wonderful woman” for 16 years and has four “beautiful” daughters. In his spare time he likes to, you guessed it, work on cars.
