Go Chargers!… to L.A.!
Over the past eight years the Chargers football team has won only 33 games and lost 74.… The facts are that the Chargers’ contract costs San Diegans millions, and that only about 60,000 attend out of the million citizens of our city. Chargers owner Alex Spanos is a snake and has always wanted to go to Los Angeles, where he feels he can make more money.… Well, don’t let the door hit you on the ass Alex… go to L.A. I’m tired of our no-good, greedy and losing Chargers!… Their leaving could release funds for badly needed community services… schools, libraries, police, firefighters, seniors, homeless, etc., etc.
It’s Deputy Mayor Toni Atkins!

Rockin Sushi is the place to eat every Fri. & Sat. night at Club Montage
Mayor Dick Murphy made history this week by appointing our Toni Atkins as San Diego’s first deputy mayor who happens to be a member of our GLBT community.… The only sad not was during the city council meeting during “public comment,” when a city hall gadfly, Don Stillwell, stood up and attacked Atkins’ appointment because she is a lesbian, and said God would not approve. Immediately Mayor Murphy and other city councilmembers rose to her defense.… Councilmember Ralph Inzunza called the comments “sick” and “hurtful.” Toni Atkins choked up and tears were in her eyes after the attack, but she defended his right to his beliefs and free speech.… But Toni’s reaction was just a small example of some of the hurt and hate that the GLBT go through many times in their lives.
