Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), an independent Baptist church, classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, announced that it will demonstrate in front of San Diego High School (SDHS) for its support of GLBT students on Friday, Oct. 16 from 3:20 to 3:50 p.m.

“Quit Telling Kids It’s OK to be Fags. WBC needs to come and show the little brutes what you all have failed to show them – obey God!” states WBC Web site, www.godhatesfags.com, about its upcoming SDHS demonstration.

Aside from the planned demonstration at San Diego High School, the WBC will be targeting mostly pro-Jewish community organizations, including Jewish Family Services, Turk Family Center and the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego between Friday, Oct. 16 and Monday, Oct. 19.
