‘Bonnie & Clyde’: The La Jolla Playhouse will perform Bonnie & Clyde at 8 p.m. Stuck in a dead-end job in Texas in the 1930s, young Bonnie Parker falls in love with Clyde Barrow, a charismatic criminal on the run from the law. Their love affair soon spirals out of control, as Bonnie and Clyde commit a series of bank robberies while staying one step ahead of the authorities. But as their notoriety – and body count – rises, the ill-fated lovers find themselves racing to the top of the Public Enemies list with a bullet. Tickets start at $43. How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Old Globe Theatre will perform How the Grinch Stole Christmas at 7 p.m. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a wonderful, whimsical production that will once again jump right off the pages of the classic Dr. Seuss book and onto the Old Globe stage. Come take part in the fun as The Globe is transformed into snow-covered Whoville right down to the last can of Who-hash! The play runs till Sunday, Dec. 27. KISS: KISS performs at the San Diego Sports Arena at 7 p.m. KISS is an American rock band formed in New York City in January 1973. Easily identified by its members’ face paint and flamboyant stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid-1970s on the basis of their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnics. Kiss has been awarded 24 gold albums to date. The band has sold over 19 million records in the United States and their worldwide sales exceeded 80 million albums as of 2004. Club Milk: Spin will host a fundraiser for San Diego LGBT Pride’s Milk Money drive. The fundraiser will feature music by DJ Luis Perez, DJ IDeaL, DJ Marcel, DJ Taj and Lil Chris. San Diego Pride “Milk Money” drive (named after philanthropist Harvey Milk) donates 100 percent of its funds to three San Diego charities including, Mama’s Kitchen, which delivers meals to those living with cancer or AIDS, The Trevor Project, a national suicide prevention hotline for LGBT youth, and the Imperial Court de San Diego’s Toys for Kids’ annual toy distribution program. The terminal end of the Camino Real is the torturous home of broken down heroes, withered beauties, lost lovers, blocked poets, and a boxing champ whose heart no longer works. The play is their struggle to escape: their struggle with whether or not they should even try. It is a paean to hope and despair in all of its forms, and to the eternal forces that drive us always to seek the light. Tickets start at $20. Camino Real ends Dec. 5. Off the Beaten Path: UCSD’s University Art Gallery will exhibit Off the Beaten Path: Violence, Women and Art at 11 a.m. From sex trafficking to themes surrounding domestic violence to the fate of women during wartime, the exhibit, arranged by Art Works for Change, is part of an effort to promote dialogue and awareness. The exhibit includes the work of 21 artists from 19 countries who join in expressing concern and empathy for abused women and girls worldwide. Motionless: The Art Institute of California San Diego will host Motionless, a fashion show, at the Museum of Photographic Arts at 8 p.m. The show will feature fashion students from The Art Institute of California San Diego who are required to produce a fashion show as their final project. Inspired by photography, Motionless will showcase the latest trends in clothing, outerwear, and accessories for winter. Holiday cruise: The Greater San Diego Business Association (GSDBA) will host its annual holiday cruise at 5:30 p.m. The cruise will sail for a festive holiday cruise on San Diego Bay.
