Jerry Seinfeld: Jerry Seinfeld will perform live at The Balboa Theatre at 7 p.m. Due to popular demand, Seinfeld, America’s premier comedian, is hitting the road in a return to his first love, stand-up comedy. Recently hailed as “the master stand-up comic of his generation” and “the best comedian of our time” in a Washington Post article, Seinfeld has an uncanny ability to joke about the little things in life that relate to audiences everywhere. December Nights: San Diego’s favorite kick-off to the holiday season, December Nights will take place for the 32nd consecutive year on Friday, Dec. 4 from 5-10 p.m. In the spirit of the holidays, participating Balboa Park museums open their doors free of charge from 5-9 p.m. both evenings. The largest free community festival in San Diego, December Nights is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors over two days. Divas’ Nite Out: The San Diego State University Pride Action Committee will host Divas’ Nite Out at the university’s Backdoor Theater at 7 p.m. Divas’ Nite Out is a monthly drag revue presenting some of the finest up and coming entertainers in San Diego. Fashion Whore: The Ruby Room will host Fashion Whore at 8 p.m. Fashion Whore is a monthly fashion catwalk and dance party. Maystar will host and DJ Groundfloor will spin. Toy Drive Benefit: The Imperial Court de San Diego will host its annual Toy Drive Benefit at Redwing Bar & Grill at 4 p.m. The event will feature MC’s Empress Selena Diamond and Princess Royale Regina Styles with entertainment and food. The benefit is part of the Imperial Court’s Toys for Kids program, which provides toys to children throughout San Diego County and Mexico. The drive is the oldest LGBT community holiday toy drive and was established in 1974 after the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation refused to accept donations from the GLBT community. Tickets are $15 for general admission with discounts available for seniors, students and military service members. Children under 12 will be admitted for free. Holiday of Lights: The Del Mar Fairgrounds will host the Holiday of Lights at 5:30 p.m. The largest animated drive through light show on the West Coast features more than 400 twinkling, lively displays located around the Del Mar Racetrack. Transgender Coming Out Group: The Transgender Coming Out Group at the San Diego LGBT Community Center starts at 7 p.m. The group supports transgender people in all stages of exploring one’s gender identity, whether questioning or early transitioning. Ribbon cutting ceremony: Being Alive and Mom’s Priority Pharmacy will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new HIV/AIDS Learning Center, a collaborative project between the nonprofit and business, at noon. Recent funding cuts to HIV/AIDS education and support services have negatively impacted the San Diego region. In an effort to provide these desperately needed services, Being Alive has partnered with Mom’s Priority Pharmacy to create the new HIV/AIDS Learning Center. Neighborhood pot-luck: The Hillcrest History Guild (HHG) will host a neighborhood pot-luck at the Joyce Beers Community Center at 6:30 p.m. Celebrate our neighborhood history, the holiday season and get to know your neighbors. The HHG will provide the main dish with some special treats from area restaurants. Neighbors are asked to bring a dish to share and their holiday spirit. The Ten Tenors: The San Diego Civic Theatre will perform The Ten Tenors at 7 p.m. The internationally renowned Australian singing group, The Ten Tenors returns to San Diego for the holidays and will perform featuring songs from their new album Nostalgica as well as holiday classics. The Ten Tenors set out to capture the intimacy between themselves and their audience during live performances, whilst invoking nostalgic memories of people, places or times in history.
