Why are our city and state elected officials even involved in this? We demand national equality for ourselves, our loved ones, and family yet we don’t practice equality in all of our affairs,just when its convienent it seems.

Good God, all this hoopla over a fucking parade. The parade is fun but does it really require public officials and a staff of who knows how many to put it on? (Judging from last year’s with 20 minute gaps between participants I guess public officials were involved). The festival is a complete joke and rip off; why not just have the festival on University after the parade? More fun and local businesses profit vs. out of town cobs o’corn and gyro stands selling their wares to fools paying the “festival”admission price.

Kehoe, Atkins and Gloria did exactly the right thing: they exercised leadership. Princetta had every right not to turn over his personal financial data but he choose to do so. Kehoe had every right to ask him to disclose that information. I have no axe to grind in this sad affair except to point out that San Diego Pride is the public face of the community that until recently presented a positive image to the San Diego public. Something needed to be done.

Don’t these guys have something better to do? Have the parade, great everyone loves it, festival is lame. Keep the partying along the parade route afterwards, everyone wins. I doubt that it takes a full time staff of Shriner’s, Mayberry RFD, or Girl Scouts to put on a parade in their towns so why does it take full time staff members to put on a LGBT parade? Raising money from pride event is BS, all pride is doing is siphoning off bucks from other charities.

It IS only a parade...Where IS the uproar regarding all the other “wrongs” that continue to happen in this community??? I want to thank all those who have supportted me over the years, (sarcasm!) You all continue to force me to go out side the community for “justice!!!” It will only take one more death for the mainsteam-straight press to finally get involve[d].
