“GLT should examine why they are so in love with a mildly conservative Republican”
When someone points a finger , four are pointing back at them. In this case the GLT should examine why they are so in love with a mildly conservative Republican instead of supporting one of the most transparent and hard working “out” candidates I know.
Whitburn doesn’t just know a handful of powerful people, he knows a community full of others who want leadership in the Assembly that represent them and their ideals. They’ll be glad to elect him over Roberts who runs the Gay Gala circuit for votes.

“Stephen is clearly the best choice for the job.”
BTW, Toni and Kehoe never said he wasn’t qualified, they just endorsed one candidate over another. In this case out of the candidates that are presented Stephen is clearly the best choice for the job. He shares more values with the voters in District 4 then Roberts does. The power of incumbency is strong and no Democrat has run a solid campaign in the District for quite some time.
With voters in D4 registered 2-1 democrat I think they will be far happier being represented by Whitburn than by Roberts.

“Whitburn is a non-experience social climber …”
Whitburn is a non-experience social climber who happens to have a few powerful friends who think he’s cute and cuddly. Roberts forgot more than Whitburn ever knew and will get easily re-elected.

“Thank you for writing what so many of us are thinking.”
I concur with David. Thank you for writing what so many of us are thinking.
Toni Atkins does not deserve to be elected to another office, period. She sat on the San Diego City Council during the time when the decisions she endorsed helped bankrupt our city and now she wants to go to Sacramento? For what?
I (too) will vote for whoever runs against Toni, I don’t care who it is—and I’m a lifelong left wing Democrat. I’m quite sick and tired of all the baton passing that goes on in San Diego politics since term limits.
Chris Kehoe and Toni Atkins are surely capable of holding nonpolitical jobs, aren’t they? If not, perhaps it’s time to give others a chance to suck from the public trough.
Comment on “Politics stinks, and Kehoe and Atkins need some deodorant!” from Toni for Assembly?
