“We must … DEMAND our equal rights.”
LOUD AND PROUD.
We must get in the faces of our fellow citizens and DEMAND our equal rights.
Dan Choi is our MLK. GetEQUAL is our national organization.
We must raise the volume. I expect millions to be marching the weekend. Thank those brave souls for creating YOUR equality.

“Delores Jacobs … has gone too far.”
Delores Jacobs has always been a pain in the butt. But by demanding amnesty for 12 million cheaters living in this great country, she has gone too far. Yes, it’s true the Statue of Liberty says “Give me your tired, poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free.” But it doesn’t say “...and even if you broke our laws, bear false papers, work without paying wage-earning taxes, and refuse to learn our common language, you can migrate here as as well.”
Delores Jacobs, I can overlook your bad bookkeeping and mismanagement of Center affairs. But insulting millions of our ancestors who sailed past Lady Liberty and played by the rules, agreed with our values, learned our common language; to compare them with today’s border-jumping illegals is going too far, and you should apologize for it. Until then, I will never set foot in your Center as well as telling my gay friends to do as I. As for amnesty itself, it will be a part of your “public record” for five or ten more years...it’s just not going to happen. This country is in no mood for this and Washington knows it.So get real, honey. The fairy tale you speak of is told with a forked tongue.

Who cares if you have lunch with those in power or get your picture taken with them?”
Can’t we all get along, you ask? Isn’t this like a rattle snake asking us, as we walk in a garden, the same question? No, not if it means sacrificing our own morality. Sorry, empress, but your own beliefs are best suited in a Third World country. A country ruled by dictators. A country where leaders shoot their way to power. Democracy means government by consent of the governed. Tyranny means do as I say or else.
Who cares if you have lunch with those in power or get your picture taken with them? Stooping and groveling come with their jobs. So stop the baloney about “getting along.” It reminds me too much of Speaker Sam Rayburn of Texas when he said, “to get along you must go along, pardner.” Now shut up.
