LA Lakers beat Boston Celtics by a final score of 83-79 to win the NBA championship. In an amazing turnaround the Lakers kept pressing the Celtics in the second half gradually reducing their lead until finally taking it in the last few minutes of the game.

Widely regarded as one of the best finals in recent times, Kobe Bryant led his team to victory, topping the scoring with 23 points. This is the Lakers 16th title win.
