As the World Cup reaches its Quarter Finals stage the draw has essentially pitted South America vs. Europe, with Ghana being the sole African representative.

Ghana, of course, were the team that sent the USA home after an exciting game that went to extra time. Kevin-Prince Boateng scored first for Ghana after 4 minutes and once again the USA had conceded an early goal. The USA equalized when Clint Dempsey scored in the 62nd minute from the penalty spot. The game finished 1-1 at the end of normal time.

Then Asamoah Gyan scored a goal in the 3rd minute of extra time to give Ghana a 2-1 victory.
