[title of show] –The Diversionary Theatre presents [title of show] on Friday, July 9th at 4545 Park Blvd in San Diego at 8 p.m. [title of show] is the story of two struggling young writers writing a new musical about two struggling young writers writing a new musical. Jeff Bowen (Music & Lyrics) and Hunter Bell (Book) decide to submit something for the 2004 New York Musical Theatre Festival just three weeks before the deadline. They began chronicling their own process and crafted an original story that just happens to be (with some artistic license taken) autobiographical. So they cast themselves in the roles, along with their two friends, Susan and Heidi. This is an official event of San Diego GLBT Pride. Pre-Pride Party with DJ Taj – Montage and Spin nightclub in San Diego will be throwing a Pre-Pride Party on Saturday, July 10 with doors opening at 9:30 p.m. Start the Pride celebrations early with music by DJ Taj and drink specials that include $8 Long Island Iced Tea and Seagram Sweet Tea. A Celebration of San Diego LGBT History - Lambda Archives of San Diego is proud to announce the inaugural exhibit of “A Celebration of San Diego LGBT History.”
The exhibit will run from July 12, 2010 through July 23, 2010 and will be displayed in the lobby of San Diego City Hall at 202 C Street in San Diego. This exhibit will feature approximately 1100 square feet of historical GLBT community treasures. This will be the first time a GLBT exhibit, sponsored by Lambda Archives and the Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast of San Diego, has appeared at City Hall.

“Stonewall Uprising” – Lestat’s Coffee House will be showing “Stonewall Uprising” on Tuesday July 13 at 7 p.m. Told by Stonewall patrons, reporters and the cop who led the raid, “Stonewall Uprising” is a movie that recalls the bad old days when psychoanalysts equated homosexuality with mental illness and advised aversion therapy and even lobotomies. Public service announcements warned youngsters against predatory homosexuals and police entrapment was rampant. At the height of this oppression the cops raided Stonewall, triggering nights of pandemonium with tear gas, billy clubs and a small army of tactical police. For more information call 619-282-0437.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show – “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” will be playing at the Birch North Park Theatre on Wednesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is a magical phenomenon unlike anything ever before seen onscreen. An innocent young couple, Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) are stranded at the home of a mad scientist, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played magnificently by the fabulously sexy Tim Curry. Blackout Party – Rich’s Nightclub will be hosting its Blackout Party for San Diego Pride on July 15 at its location in San Diego starting at 9 p.m. This event hits over 1000 women every year!
