The Last Romance – The Old Globe Theatre will be showing The Last Romance on Friday, August 6th at 8 p.m. America’s favorite mother comes home. Marion Ross (“Happy Days,” “The Drew Carey Show,” “Brothers & Sisters”) returns to The Globe to star with her life partner, Paul Michael in this new romantic comedy. A crush can make anyone feel young again – even a widower named Ralph. 70s Party & Fundraiser – Redwing Bar & Grill will be hosting a 70s Party and Fundraiser for Christie’s Place on Saturday, August 7th at 6 p.m. This event will raise funds for Backpacks and school supplies for kids. Christie’s Place is a leading nonprofit social service organization in San Diego County that provides comprehensive HIV/AIDS education, support, and advocacy to women, children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. Toast Hillcrest - The Hillcrest History Guild (HHG) will be celebrating the fourth annual “Toast to Hillcrest” on Thursday, August 12 at 5:30 p.m. dozens of local cocktail lounges, restaurants, wine bars and pubs offer up “toasts” (as well as tastes) to participants as they stroll throughout the neighborhood. In addition, the fun-raiser provides a red, double-decker bus to move participants throughout Hillcrest.
