I have been a supporter of LGBT rights since, well, Stonewall I guess. I have gone to many protests in Los Angeles, and many times have heard gay and lesbian people say that they are against *all* forms of oppression and discrimination, and not just concerned about themselves and their community. They have proven this. Over and over. This editorial is insightful, moving, courageous – and true! Thank you.

It’s been reported in the mainline media this week that the Juárez drug cartel has a million dollar bounty out on Sheriff Joe’s head. He gets away with his policies only because the majority of voters in his jurisdiction allow him to.
The majority of “illegal aliens” in the U.S. are from Mexico followed by Central America. They’re just following in the footsteps of their ancestors who have been migrating around the North American Indian continent for the purpose of better survival for thousands of years. The solution to the “illegal alien” problem is for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to form a European Union-style immigration pact, which would allow citizens of those countries to live and work in those countries with ease as do citizens of E.U. nations can within the E.U. Also, U.S. employers don’t owe U.S. citizens a living and should have the right to import as many foreign workers as they need.
G.P. Howard says:
Illegal Aliens’ contributions to our society are invaluable if we are to grow as a nation. We need to accept the multicultural bounty we are being given by our neighbors to the south. This site is dedicated to showcasing all the marvelous customs these itinerants bring with them from their homelands: http:/illegalalienoftheday.com

Since you have taken up the cause of the drug cartels and La Raza’s illegals, you should bear in mind three things
(1) You don’t live in southern Arizona and know anybody threatened or killed by these baddies, I suggest you learn. Arizona, unlike we in San Diego, doesn’t have the safe luxury of a triple fence on their border. (2) Yesterday’s immigrants didn’t sneak into Ellis demanding we cater to their every need - - including amnesty for their crimes and called anyone who objected a racist. (3) Since you quote Emma Lazarus and her words carved on Lady Liberty, it doesn’t say “Give us your tired, huddled masses yearning to breathe free...send these homeless to me...even if you stole your way onto our shores, carry false papers and refused to learn our language. Tear down the American flag and avoid paying taxes.” No, it doesn’t. As for never seeing an illegal alien...try the front entrance to the Home Depot.
Kevin says:
FACT CHECK: “...until recently no one outside Arizona had ever heard of him.” Sheriff Arpaio has been featured on 60 Minutes, and other “law enforcement” programs, for at least 15 years.
Tell miss nickey to put on his dress and accompany you to Mexico City to ‘protest’ that country’s corrupt government. Write an editorial how Mexico could better treat their own citizens as “human,” thus ending the “need” for them to even come here.
