Man in the Mirror – Devra Gregory will be premiering her show, “Man in the Mirror: A Tribute to Michael Jackson at the David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre in La Jolla on Friday, August 27th at 8 p.m. Extraordinary tribute artist Dev brings Michael Jackson back to the stage in celebration of the King of Pop’s 52nd birthday. Recreating favorite songs and dance hits, including “Smooth Criminal”, “Beat It” and “Thriller”, this tribute show honors the timeless talent of the superstar who is forever in our hearts.

Jammin in Your Pajamas – Michael Mack and Spin Nightclub will be hosting their Jammin in Your Pajamas party on Saturday, August 28th at 8:30 p.m. Continuing the tradition of offering the best San Diego Gay nightlife every Saturday, Spin will be hosting an amazing mass PJ party with DJ Kimberly S. spinning hits all night long! King Lear – The Old Globe Theatre will be putting on its production of King Lear on Saturday, August 28th at 8 p.m. One of the greatest and most powerful dramas of all time, King Lear is the ultimate family drama told against a background of intense political intrigue. Lear, an aging monarch, has decided to divide his kingdom between his three daughters – each to receive land and wealth in proportion to their declaration of love for him. Two of them compete to flatter their father, while the one loving daughter, Cordelia, refuses to play the game and is exiled. Seduced by his daughters flattery, Lear sets in motion a catastrophic series of events that will destroy his kingdom, his family and ultimately his sanity. Cabaret – The Anthology will be hosting the Lamb’s Players’ Sunday Evening Cabaret on Sunday, August 29th at the Anthology at 7 p.m. An entertaining line-up of San Diego’s best singers presenting a delightful evening of classic standards, jazz, gospel and terrific Broadway tunes. The evening will feature Season Duffy, Colleen Kollar, Steve Limones, Jon Lorenz, Leonard Patton, Lance Arthur Smith, Deborah Gilmour Smyth and Joy Yandell with Scott Lacy at the piano. Guided Meditations – The Center San Diego will be hosting its guided meditation sessions on Monday, August 30th at 12 p.m. at their location at 3909 Centre Street. Join them for free, guided meditations on Monday and Thursdays at noon, directly following Yoga Fit. These meditations are geared toward the HIV+ community but are open to anyone. Come out and relax with a session designed for relaxation and recuperation. This is also a great opportunity to meet new people, socialize and become involved in the community. Splash – Rich’s Nighclub and 607 Events will be hosting their Labor Day Kickoff event on Thursday, September 2nd at 9:30 p.m. Come ready to get WET at this event.
