The National Comedy Theatre is San Diego’s nationally acclaimed improv comedy show. Now in its 11th season, the National Comedy Theatre is San Diego’s longest running theatrical event. More than 6,000 elementary school students along with teachers, parents, volunteers and community leaders will hit the streets Wednesday, October 6 joining schools from around the world in celebrating International Walk to School Day. Activities will begin at 7 am with Third District City Councilmember Todd Gloria, School board president Shelia Jackson, and School Board Vice President Richard Barrera meet ing students and their families at the Southwest corner of Park De La Cruz at 38th and Landis Streets and walking with them to Cherokee Point Elementary school, 3735 38th Street San Diego, California 92105. The event is being organized by the City Heights Community Development Corporation (CHCDC) as a community-wide effort to promote pedestrian and driver safety and advocate for healthy foods, active living, pedestrian safety measures and neighborhood improvement.
