Complementary therapies program to relocate
The Center has announced that the Holistic AIDS Response Program (HARP) will be moving from its current location at Bienestar in North Park to The Center’s Health Services facility, located at 2313 El Cajon Blvd. near the corner of El Cajon and Texas. Beginning Feb. 1, 2004, HARP will coordinate therapies such as chiropractic, acupuncture and massage for people living with HIV and AIDS in its new location.
In addition to the HARP move, The Center’s Benefits Counseling program will transition its services to other case management and peer advocacy programs across the County. In July 2003 state budget cuts forced the reconceptualizing of benefits services and the new transition plan will become effective Feb. 28, 2004. Benefits counselors will continue to see clients until that date, and will provide information about the alternatives available for consumers who have an ongoing need for benefits counseling.
For more information regarding the Benefits Counseling program transition, contact Denice Williams at (619) 260-6380, ext. 119.
